Blame and Positioning to Win the Race
As far as you can go
Before the land ends
That is where we wait in shadows
Where the land ends
The tide comes in regularly
I can’t pinpoint the timetable
But can always count on the tide coming in
The blue day dawns
To our sour expressions
De-loused
Uncomplicated
Safe here where all sharp objects
Have a rubber covering
So that death is only possible in travel
We can cry over broken hearts
But they’re not broken
They will mend
We will worry about friends being deceitful
But we can always find new friends
Just like the old
Maybe we have no reason to be sad at all
And maybe that’s what makes us more sad than anything
I told her that I hate people looking at me
But I get home from public places
So sad that nobody turned in my direction
What do you know?
I am a hypocrite
Just like all of us
