Computers Run the World

I hit a dog while going to pick up a paycheck
He ran off before I could catch him
What would I say to this dog?
What could I say to explain commerce?
And then I think of computers
That control the world
And wonder if they ever accidentally strike someone down
And what would they say to them if it happened?
I can’t explain how a car works
Aside from saying that pistons pump
And energy is created
To turn the wheels
I also can’t say how computers work
Aside from nonsense about 1’s and 0’s
But I do know how a microwave works
It gets down to the molecular level
How efficient we’ve become
So efficient we can control the world
Without knowing how we do it
