Your Heart's Beautiful Scars

My most complex dream
Involves Russian folk music
As vampires crest the waves
A typhoon swept in
While bombs fell
You introduced me to a rat
Who would soon replace me
Though I wrote him off initially
As an astronaut lost in space
Brought me in on a new wave
Cresting the typhoon
Destroyed a town
That no one lived in
Woke me up in a dream
And an astronaut handed me to a vampire
A bomb fell just then
As the typhoon hit
And smoke was billowing
But the vampire had the plague
Not from sucking the blood of astronauts
But from a certain rat
That bit him as he hung
Upside down
From a gas station ceiling
In an empty town
Destroyed by a typhoon
Hurricane winds broke the dream
And I discovered in the mirror
I was a vampire
And an astronaut
And a rat
That my typhoons destroyed everyone
That the bomb exploding
Was always me
